#Thoughts on Saturn Entering Pisces
Taking stock of the big events that have happened lately, I've really felt what Saturn's move into Pisces is hinting at for us. Let me first run through the things that have left the deepest impression on me recently:
1. Silicon Valley Bank suddenly collapsed.
2. Credit Suisse fell into crisis.
3. Word spread that stablecoins weren't so stable.
4. At this year's Oscars, Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh took home the top awards.
A while back I was in class with some of the great senior teachers of the astrology world discussing what kinds of events Saturn in Pisces might bring. We talked through a lot of possibilities at the time, all of them in areas connected to the ocean, medicine, tobacco and alcohol, social welfare (national health insurance), the film and television industry, and dreams.
Then over these past few days I watched Silicon Valley Bank suddenly collapse, Credit Suisse look like it might blow up too, and unstable news emerge about stablecoins — and only then did it hit me. Ah, what Saturn in Pisces wants to puncture is everyone's dreams (or should I say fantasies?) about finances and wealth, and possibly also the fantasy that "the government won't let so-and-so fail, won't let such-and-such crash."
But this year's Oscars ceremony also made me feel that Saturn in Pisces isn't entirely a bad thing. It gave the gift of dreams fulfilled to those veteran actors who had spent years with their feet on the ground, quietly putting in the work and building real ability.
Long-term, grounded, diligently cultivating, capable, seasoned, professional — these are all Saturn keywords.
Dreams, the film and television industry, cinema, influence that transcends nations and races — these are Pisces (Neptune) keywords.
Saturn in Pisces also has the quality of "making the intangible tangible." Dreams are terribly intangible things, and Saturn can turn those intangible dreams into reality through long-term cultivation and effort, through grounded professionalism.
But flip it around: if a certain field is full of unrealistic bubbles, fantasies with no basis in reality, nothing but pie in the sky and lies ((these are also Pisces/Neptune keywords), then Saturn will burst every one of those bubbles and wake up the people living inside the illusion

Beyond that, Pisces is also connected to creativity, art, and spirituality, so Saturn's move into Pisces may well affect these fields as well. Saturn's influence is often described as restriction, constraint, and pressure, while Piscean energy is often described as gentle, sensitive, and easily influenced — so this period may bring some limitations or challenges in these areas. But it may also spark work or spiritual experiences with more creativity and more depth.
All in all, Saturn entering Pisces may have an impact on finances, dreams, creativity, spirituality, and similar areas, and those impacts may bring certain challenges and limitations — but they may also draw out the success and creative power of people who are more grounded and more genuinely capable. Of course, these are only possibilities; the actual effects still need to be judged according to each person's specific situation and surrounding circumstances.
I often get asked in consultations: is this transit/placement a good one? Sometimes it's genuinely hard to say, because the stars hold no particular malice toward anyone — whether it turns out to be a blessing or a misfortune is still shaped by the person's own actions.
With the very same Saturn in Pisces, some people see years of cultivation pay off, while others have their illusions punctured and get shaken awake.
Saturn isn't showing anyone special favour, and isn't singling anyone out either. It's simply carrying out its own assessment; as for what grade you get, that depends on what each person has accumulated from the past up to now.
I'm also writing this as a reminder to myself (after all, I'm a Pisces Sun, so this Saturn ingress into Pisces is running a full audit on me). If over the next two years or so Saturn gives me no reward, then it simply means my effort wasn't enough. That's all there is to it.
