The asteroid Juno is named after the Roman name for Hera, Queen of the Heavens and the consort of Zeus in Greek mythology.

Juno's glyph looks a little like a small flower. In Greek mythology she is the guardian of marriage and family, and from Juno we can see what kind of partner we long for, and what kind of marriage we want. In some cases it can even hint at the sort of setting where we'll meet our partner.

Take my own experience as an example: my Juno is in Aries, and Aries carries the sense of taking active, initiating action — and sure enough, my current partner was the one who actively pursued me. My husband's Juno is in Sagittarius, and Sagittarius symbolises foreign lands; the place where he first met me really was overseas, and it was through religion that we grew close (he came to me for astrology, and I went to him for Chinese name numerology).
